Independence Cemetery has the proud heritage and charm of a country cemetery with the burials of several generations of hardworking families.
The 65-acre Independence Cemetery was incorporated into a nonprofit organization in 1886. On January 1, 1988, the cemetery management and operation became a division of non-profit Highland Cemetery, Inc., in Fort Mitchell. In the spring of 1996, Independence Cemetery bought the adjacent 64-acre farmland, doubling the cemetery’s acreage.
Independence Cemetery is located on Madison Pike, which divides our cemetery into two sections. A simple white fence brings unity and warmth to our property.
A representative from the Cemetery is available to meet you by appointment anytime. Please call our office at 859-331-3220.
